What Should I Know Before Starting TRT?
Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) can be life-changing—but it’s not something to jump into without understanding the long-term picture.
We follow the most up-to-date medical research, including the 2023 FDA TRAVERSE trial, which found no increased risk for heart events in men on TRT—but did note a rise in blood pressure, especially with oral and subcutaneous forms. That’s why we primarily use testosterone cypionate injections, which are well-tolerated and effective.

TRT may cause mild fluid retention, so we keep an eye on it.
Hematocrit & Hemoglobin Checks
To catch any rise in red blood cells. We offer therapeutic phlebotomy if needed.
Prostate Screening
We monitor PSA levels and refer to urology if there are concerns.
Sleep Apnea Referrals
If you have or suspect untreated sleep apnea, we’ll refer you before starting.
Fertility Support
TRT may reduce fertility. We offer options like HCG or Gonadorelin if maintaining fertility is important.
Discontinuation Plan
If you ever choose to stop TRT, we’ll guide you through a proper weaning protocol.
